10 Things To Do At The Start Of The Month

  1. Upload and delete photos from your phone. Google Photos has become a lifesaver, so once a month I make sure to upload all my recent photos to it, and then delete (most of) them from my phone to free up space. This is seriously a game-changer, go find it in the AppStore.

  2. Review + rearrange your calendar. Get your dry erase, your planner or your online calendar and organize your month. Do you have due dates? Events? Birthdays? What are your goals for the month? Write it down. It helps to have a monthly overview.

  3. Make plans with your loved ones! Life can get busy and we can forget to make plans. This isn’t something I do all the time, but if I really want to go out to eat somewhere specific or do something special with someone, I’ll make the plans.

  4. Schedule appointments. Do your nails need to get done? Should you schedule a cleaning at the dentist? Make those calls or book online! Just do it.

  5. Plan days full of self-care. That can look like booking a massage, buying a new book or simply getting coffee by yourself at the cafe you have been wanting to try. I like doing a full pamper routine. If you want more details, let me know!

  6. Wash and clean your car. It helps to clean your car as you go, meaning throwing out any trash when you get out of the car or bring everything into your house! (Do not use your car as extra storage!!) But once a month, I like to dust and vacuum the insides and go to a car wash.

  7. Change your bedding and open your windows for a few minutes. I do this more than once a month, but I like scheduling it for the beginning of the month. I change my bedding at least twice a month and wash my pillowcases once a week.

  8. Clean your space. I strongly believe your outside environment is a direct reflection of your mind. If your room is busy and messy, chances are so are your thoughts. Take the time to sweep/mop the floor, dust everything down, clean the mirrors, reorganise your clothes and clean your fridge!

  9. Write down monthly goals and to-dos. Basically, a rough idea of what you hope to accomplish and things that have to get done over the next few weeks. Write down a list of the things you may need to get to accomplish those goals, like certain groceries or a new pair of shoes for that event you have.

  10. Pick a book to read this month. This is a new years goal for me so I began an August Blonde bookclub! If you want to join, click here.
